THE SAPPERS VISION

More than a place to level.

A familiar Azeroth with something worth coming home to. These are the systems we’re building toward.

01 / COMPANIONSIN TESTING

Never adventure alone.

Four story-earned companions with saved identities are installed for testing. Earn them in sequence at levels 10, 20, 30 and 40; their combat and progression still need player testing.

  • Tank, healer, damage and utility roles
  • Follow, stay and attack commands
  • Saved roster and recruiter testing

Four story-earned companions are the first goal. Standard dungeon groups remain five.

02 / HOUSINGPLANNED

A home with a history.

DAoC-inspired neighborhoods, starting with personal homes. A place for your trophies, your friends and the spoils of adventure.

  • First neighborhood: ten-plot prototype
  • House recall, ownership and upgrades
  • Decorations and guild halls to follow

Housing foundations and model trials are in development. Plots are not available to purchase.

03 / REALM WARPLANNED

Give your realm a reason.

Alliance and Horde frontiers with keeps to defend, towers to capture and NPC armies that make a quiet world feel alive.

  • Persistent territory and keep battles
  • Realm Points, ranks and rewards
  • A Scourge threat to both factions

Realm war and its reward systems are future features.

FROM FIRST QUEST TO FROZEN THRONE

Three eras. One unfolding adventure.

Start small. Build your squad. Take on the legends. Our long-term plan is progression through Vanilla, Outland and Northrend on a Wrath 3.3.5a foundation.

CHAPTER I

Azeroth

Old roads, rival kingdoms and the first great raids. This is where your story begins.

VANILLA
CHAPTER II

Outland

Beyond the Dark Portal: shattered worlds, new enemies and the climb toward the Black Temple.

THE BURNING CRUSADE
CHAPTER III

Northrend

Into the frozen north, through ancient halls and toward the gates of Icecrown Citadel.

WRATH OF THE LICH KING

Expansion content is part of the server foundation. Staged progression gates and custom raid tuning are planned.

Griffon care: Level-40+ bonded mages now get Feed, Mend and Revive, native hunter happiness and damage bonuses, and pet naming. Update installed Sappers Squad through the launcher while WoW is closed, then open /sappers → Griffon care for buttons and action-bar placement. Native and addon checks passed; player acceptance pending.

Griffon quest directions: Carbonite now includes A Bond on the Wing, with Bink in Ironforge, Skybinder in Orgrimmar, trial instructions and return locations. Close WoW and reopen the launcher to update installed Carbonite. Automated guide checks passed; in-game display confirmation pending. No server restart.

Griffon training button: Level-40 mages can now select “Learn griffon taming (Tame Beast) - free” in Bink's opening dialogue in Ironforge. Then select the griffon trial and use the quest rod. Native teaching and taming checks passed; client confirmation pending.

Ironforge griffon quest: Bink, the mage trainer in the Mystic Ward’s Hall of Mysteries (27.2, 8.3), now offers the level-40 griffon quest, trial retries and replacement whistle alongside normal training. The separate Ironforge mentor has been removed. Native menu and taming checks passed; player confirmation pending.

New pet preview installed: At level 40, mages can learn Tame Beast free from mage trainers, then earn a small griffon through Bink’s taming quest in Ironforge or Arcanist Skybinder beside Pephredo in Orgrimmar. The bonded griffon levels with its mage; its whistle recalls or dismisses it. Hunters can tame additional wild gryphons, hippogryphs, stags and zhevras. Automated native checks passed; player testing and combat balance remain pending.

Breacher Squad: Implode is now guild leader. Every current rank can deposit and withdraw items from all six guild-bank tabs without an item withdrawal limit. Gold permissions are unchanged.

Guild bank sorting update: Sort all guild tabs now combines matching stacks and sorts across every accessible tab. Current-tab sorting is still available. Close WoW and reopen the launcher to update. Automated checks passed; in-game confirmation pending. No server restart.

Companion dungeon entry follow-up: A guarded correction for stale falling flags on stationary, grounded companions is tested and awaiting installation. Genuine falls still block teleportation. Live gameplay verification remains pending.

Hunter companion pet controls: Squad0.8.7 adds Call pet and Revive pet buttons to the hunter row. Available through the launcher addon update while WoW is closed. Client rendering verification is pending.

Full companion party dungeon entry: Installed recovery support for normal Dungeon Finder parties with permanent companions, including a full five-member party. Isolated checks passed; live gameplay verification is pending.

Dungeon replacement helpers: Find replacement is prepared for open slots in an active normal Group Finder run, using the existing role check and proposal. No automatic kicks. Compiled and isolated checks passed; installation and full in-game matching verification are pending.

Companion dungeon re-entry: Installed a correction allowing safe retries after a previous successful entry, plus expanded companion diagnostics. Isolated checks passed; fresh Group Finder gameplay verification and investigation of the original entry failure remain pending.

Track your gear build: Gear Guide 0.2.6 adds Track this build in Templates and a saved per-character objective checklist. Select a missing item and use Go to item for verified Carbonite directions, with source/location choices and real accepted-quest tracking. This is an addon checklist, not a new server quest. Published through launcher updates; automated checks passed and in-game trial pending.

Companion supplies and gear weapon choices: Squad 0.8.6 adds Sell junk - all near vendors and Mail materials - all for eligible newly collected loot. Gear Guide 0.2.5 adds saved weapon setup choices in Templates, including two-handed and weapon/off-hand combinations. Server support installed and launcher updates published. Automated checks passed; in-game acceptance pending.

Find your gear more easily: Gear Guide 0.2.4 adds Find source with quest steps, named prerequisites, quest-giver/location selection, Carbonite waypoints and accepted-quest tracking. Uses verified exported source data; unknown coordinates remain marked unknown. Arrives through automatic launcher updates. Automated tests passed; in-game visual acceptance is pending.

Mission recall and material choices: Recall companions early for rewards proportional to elapsed time, rounded down. Choose unlocked material tiers when sending a mission; lower tiers supply materials without profession points. Existing mission timers are preserved. Squad 0.8.5 arrives through automatic launcher updates. Native payout and UI tests passed; player acceptance is pending.

Vault sorting buttons available: Squad 0.8.4 adds Sort personal vault, Sort current tab, Sort all guild tabs and Stop. Matching stacks combine and items are organized; guild tabs stay separate and permissions apply. Close WoW and let the launcher update before Play. Automated checks passed; in-game acceptance is pending.

Automatic addon updates: Launcher 1.0.12 updates installed Gear Guide, Squad dungeon controls and other Sapper addons automatically on startup, idle checks and before Play. Installed Carbonite is included. Leave automatic updates enabled and close WoW for updates to apply. No separate Add-ons selection is needed.

Companion update installed: 24h and 48h missions offer 160/320 materials and up to 75/150 profession points within trained caps. Gather nearby now and upgrade-only companion Need rolls are enabled. Update Squad and Gear Guide through launcher Add-ons for round draggable minimap icons. Automated and private payout tests passed; in-game gathering, loot rolls and Carbonite appearance await player testing.

Minimap buttons prepared, not installed: Round draggable Gear Guide and Dungeon icons are staged. Existing buttons remain live until approved installation. Automated positioning and window checks passed; Carbonite and in-game visual testing pending.

Long companion missions prepared, not installed: Planned 24-hour trips give 160 materials and up to 75 profession points; 48-hour trips give 320 materials and up to 150 points. Trained-rank caps apply. Existing missions remain unchanged until approved maintenance and remaining delivery tests.

Gear Guide catalog repair available: Version 0.2.2 corrects catalog file paths and explains missing data instead of silently building an empty set. Exit WoW completely, reinstall SappersGearGuide through launcher Add-ons, then start WoW and build your template. Saved settings retained. Automated checks passed; client retest pending. No realm restart required.

Gear Guide button available: Update SappersGearGuide through launcher Add-ons, then click Gear Guide near the top center of the screen to open Templates. Shift-drag moves the button; its position saves per character. No chat command needed. Automated checks passed; actual client checks remain pending. No realm restart required.

Character template planner preview: Update SappersGearGuide through launcher Add-ons, then open /sgg templates. Save named builds, adjust stat priorities, compare combined gear bonuses, and choose obtainable or ideal target sets for all ten classes at levels 10-80. Compatible-set search is heuristic, not a proven best-in-slot simulation. Automated tests passed; actual client checks remain pending. No realm restart required.

Gear Guide levels 10-80 update: In launcher Add-ons, install SappersGearGuide. Type /sgg demo24 for Mage level 24, then choose AoE or Single Target. Choose target levels 10-80 for all ten Wrath classes. Includes server-derived item sources, all-class profiles, alternatives and a saved checklist. Automated checks passed; in-game visual, persistence and compatibility checks are pending. No realm restart required.

Gear Guide preview available: In launcher Add-ons, install SappersGearGuide. Type /sgg demo24 for Mage level 24, then choose AoE or Single Target. Includes server-derived item sources, all-class profiles, alternatives and a saved checklist. Automated checks passed; in-game visual, persistence and compatibility checks are pending. No realm restart required.

Saddlebag stacking installed for testing: Transfers fill matching stacks first, up to 100 or the item limit, then use another slot. Update through the launcher for matching-stack drag targets. The follower cleanup repair is installed; in-game stability checks remain. Housing floor and arrival screening has advanced, but housing is not installed yet.

Saddlebag icon fix: Updated the addon to prevent empty-slot artwork covering item icons. Close WoW and update through the launcher. Stored items are unchanged; no realm restart required.

Smoother saddlebags: The latest launcher addon keeps items visible during refresh and updates only changed slots. Transfers wait for confirmation. Close WoW and update; no realm restart needed.

Saddlebag vault-style update: The launcher now offers an icon grid with drag-and-drop, stack counts and tooltips. Update with WoW closed. Whole stacks transfer; withdrawals use the first empty carried slot. No realm restart required; in-game feedback is welcome.

Companion mounts and saddlebags installed for testing: Update through the launcher for the Saddlebags button. Separate 1,000-slot storage is shared across your character’s mounts; open it while mounted, landed and stationary. Companion mount training is enabled. Server checks passed; in-game feedback is welcome.

Companion capacity and 100-item stacks installed: Earned companions now have separate capacity from your ten playable character slots. Eligible crafting materials, reagents and consumables stack to 100; larger existing stacks remain unchanged. Server checks passed; in-game recruitment and stacking feedback is welcome.

Housing development: Ten candidate homes plus three reserve sites pass house-spacing and paired-door clearance checks. Foundation height, entrance paths and navigation with houses present still need validation. These houses are not installed or available to purchase.

Companion menu and mission rewards installed for testing: Close WoW and reopen the launcher for the updated companion bar. Use /sscompanions to summon companions, manage bags and send dismissed companions for supplies while logged out. Choose 10/30/60 minutes for 4/10/20 materials and up to 2/5/10 profession points. Inventory, Sell and Rename are in the companion menu. Server checks passed; player testing is now needed.

Housing recovery safeguards in development: Purchase cancellation, refund recovery and waiting for earlier saves have passed isolated tests; the development server build passes. A flatter neighborhood candidate also passed ground-navigation checks. This is not installed; purchase-flow integration and house/plot validation remain unfinished. Purchases are still disabled.

Housing development resumed: The native purchase receipt checks now pass against copied server data, including repeat requests and changed balances. Purchases remain disabled while gameplay save/reconnect protection and usable neighborhood plots are completed. Existing reference-house access is unchanged.

Maintenance complete: The bot-rotation update is installed and the realm is back online. The original characters and progress were preserved.

Bot rotation installed for testing: A roster of 600 bot characters now rotates through daily sessions and rest periods. With no real players, 30 are online; more join gradually when players return. Eight Breacher Squad bots require a real guild member online. Surplus crafting materials receive auction priority. Server startup and idle-population checks passed; live-player, guild-presence and gameplay feedback are still needed.

Existing bot roster preserved: The original 300 Alliance and Horde bots remain part of the expanded rotating roster. The total roster size is not the simultaneous online count.

Realm recovered; bot auction confirmed: The world is back online following a crash, using the same installed version. All 60 roaming bots returned. Erianna has an Ulduar Greaves auction. Auction travel/retry improvements are prepared in source, not installed; crash investigation continues.

Attack button fix available: Sappers Squad 0.4.7 sends separate resume and attack orders to fix the reported unknown-action error. Close WoW and launch through the launcher to update. Button logic tested; in-game confirmation pending. No realm restart.

Recruiter refresh staged: Eight recruitment contacts have distinct race-appropriate appearance selections; Brynja is preserved. Relocation candidates still need floor and obstacle verification. All four companion quest stages remain intact. Not installed; no realm restart performed.

Companion Sell button available: Select your earned companion and use the coin button on the Squad bar to review unused higher-quality loot. Confirm sale at a vendor; proceeds arrive by mail. The launcher installs this add-on update before Play. Button logic tested; in-game sale verification pending.

Discord online count is live: the WoW bot activity and status panel show logged-in characters including roaming AI, companions and dungeon helpers. The 60 roaming bots are now installed; counts refresh automatically.

Roaming AI population is live: 30 Alliance and 30 Horde bots verified online, with ordinary character names and six guilds of ten. Quest/travel AI and limited surplus-loot auction selling are enabled. Auction stock grows through play; gameplay verification continues. These are AI bots, not human players.

Earned companion inventory update installed: four 24-slot bags on safe companion visits, unused ordinary new-loot sales at vendors and owner payment by mail. Green-quality and better loot requires your review and confirmation. Existing belongings and gifts are protected; in-game bag and payout verification remains pending.

The requested level-17 shaman has been created with equipped gear and starting gold. Maintenance is complete and the realm is online.

Engineer helper names installed: Bulwark, Patchkit, Stitchbolt, Blastcap, Fusewick, Shrapnel and Powderkeg. Party role labels remain available. Reconnect and form a fresh party to refresh names.

Balanced companions installed (28 September): choose .squad role tank, healer, damage or auto. Earned companions fill missing roles when out of combat. Test the setting beside your earned squad, observe actual tanking/healing in a suitable fight, then relog and query .squad role to check persistence. Missing companions are not unlocked by this command; combat and persistence remain unverified.

The requested character level, gold and equipment grant has been applied. Equipment is available through in-game mail.

Helper update installed (28 September): varied looks, missing bags, supply top-ups, party chat and completed-run loot-sale mail are active for fresh runs. Eligible proceeds are shared among human teammates after everyone exits. Equipped gear, bags and supplies are protected; eligible unequipped loot gear can be sold. Test a fresh completed run: keep the party together until everyone exits, then check for Sappers Helpers loot sales mail. No eligible helper loot means no payout. Mail amounts and duplicate prevention remain unverified.

Temporary helper party chat is installed. Normal grouped replies are shared with teammates; test with a fresh dungeon party.

Helper labels available (27 September): Sappers Squad 0.4.5 displays Sappers Tank, Healer and Damage Helper titles in chat and supported unit frames for existing dungeon helpers, keeping whisper links working. Close WoW and update through the launcher, or use the manual addon download. Appearance and loot-payout updates are now installed; in-game label verification remains open.

Dungeon recovery installed; profession text updated (27 September): released-helper entrance recovery is installed for gameplay testing. Sappers Squad 0.4.4 corrects the trainer confirmation to show all 11 primary professions. Close WoW and reopen through the launcher to update. Helper display labels are available in addon 0.4.5; varied appearances and loot-sale payouts are installed for gameplay verification.

All primary professions enabled: the test realm has restarted with an allowance of 11 primary professions, including Mining, Herbalism and Skinning. Normal trainer costs and skill progression remain. Cooking, Fishing and First Aid are separate. To test, relog and visit a trainer to learn a wanted third primary profession without unlearning either existing one; check the normal cost and that all three persist after relog. Trainer purchase acceptance is still pending.

Dungeon Finder repair installed (27 September): temporary helpers left dead after a previous run are now revived before their equipment is rebuilt. Please test queue reuse after a run leaves a temporary helper dead: the next group should prepare, enter and fight without an equipment error or helper withdrawal. Requeue and dungeon-combat acceptance are still pending.

Discord status is live: the existing server-status panel now shows local world uptime and connected game clients, excluding server-side PlayerBots. Connection counts include character selection; they do not certify gameplay health.

THE SAPPERS WOW ROADMAP

Build a squad. Make a home.
Fight for your realm.

Our direction for Sappers Hideout: Warcraft adventures, DAoC-inspired systems and a world worth returning to.

Updated . This is our development order, not a release calendar. Features move forward after testing; priorities may change. “In testing” means test-realm availability, not finished gameplay.

Double rewards event: 2× player XP, looted money and quest money rewards from 22 September to 22 November 2026. Vendor sale prices are unchanged.

01 / THE FOUNDATIONIN TESTING

A familiar Azeroth.

A Wrath 3.3.5a foundation with Vanilla, TBC and Wrath content, separate test infrastructure and backups.

  • Player-confirmed: character creation, world entry and basic bot follow, stay and attack.
  • Available: website accounts, password changes and a Windows launcher with signed client downloads.
  • To verify: external-player connections and dungeon scaling with AutoBalance.
02 / YOUR COMPANIONSIN TESTING

A squad with names.

Companion introductions are live: at levels 10, 20, 30 and 40, quests guide you to the individual companion NPCs near faction capitals. Existing characters catch up on login. Each companion offers their recruitment quest and a travel-together retry. Existing companions and progress are preserved. Close WoW and use launcher Update / Repair for the new Carbonite pins. Client interaction testing is pending; the longer personal story chains and their equipment rewards are still in development.

Longer companion stories in development: the eight companions now have individual recruitment NPCs. Each also has six later personal quest drafts, with level-60 finales planned to reward both player and companion with a full armor set, suitable weapons and compatible off-hand gear. Those later encounters and reward delivery are not installed yet. Further stories are planned for Outland and Northrend.

Current player testing order: dungeon combat and completion; released-companion recovery; dungeon progress and helper cleanup; housing tour return and permissions; companion equipment, repair and looting. Full-party dungeon arrival has been player-confirmed; these remaining checks are not yet accepted.

Discord help: mention Hideout WoW Bot, reply to one of its messages, or send it a DM for help with downloads, companions, housing and support. Automatic help replies are installed; player testing is pending.

Now installed for testing: companion Repair using companion gold at a repair vendor, saved Looting On/Off, confirmed Discard for unwanted bag items, falling-flag inventory correction and Attack-after-Passive. Repair results remain visible after automatic refresh. Fully exit WoW and reopen through the launcher to get the latest Sappers Squad addon. Gameplay acceptance is pending.

Companion inventory display update 0.4.2 fixes blank equipment and bag slots. Fully exit WoW, update through the launcher, then reopen Items and Refresh. The fix is ready for player testing; existing items are preserved.

The companion roster now shows waiting recalls, pending arrivals and save progress for your character, including cancellation guidance. Use the recruiter roster option, Squad Roster button or .squad roster. Type .squad for updated recruitment and control instructions; admin-only trial tools are kept separate.

Logout now cancels unfinished recall requests while keeping saved recruits. After signing back in, use Recall again; quick-relog testing is pending. A pending companion now holds only its own squad’s recall queue, allowing other eligible players to proceed; multiplayer timing needs testing. If combat or another unsafe state interrupts waiting recalls, the remaining requests are cancelled with a message to try again when safe; saved recruits are retained.

Repeated recall preserves a pending login and its original timeout. Companion arrival now checks safe travel states and reports accepted, failed or skipped travel accurately. These fixes are installed for player testing.

Earn your company through a connected story: tank at level 10, healer at 20, mage at 30 and scout at 40.

  • Installed for player testing: all four story chapters for both factions, persistent recruits, earned-squad recall with duplicate-safe queue limits and clearer waiting messages, and the Sappers Squad icon bar installed automatically by launcher 1.0.10.
  • Get started: visit a Sappers recruiter in your starting region. Complete and turn in each chapter before unlocking the next. The level-10 trial requires six hostile outdoor enemies level 5 or higher. Find Recruiter Brynja behind the Kharanos bar. Dismiss cancels waiting recalls and automatic recall after a pending save, preserving the saved companion. Dismiss now also cancels pending companion login callbacks before they create a bot session. An immediate Recall explains when cancelled work is still finishing; timing-sensitive player testing remains pending. Ask your recruiter how to earn the next companion to see chapter requirements, quest status and objective guidance.
  • Equipment and bags: select your companion, then click the Squad bar’s bag icon or type /ssitems for the visual equipment and bags window in Sappers Squad 0.4.0. This separate Items window replaces the portrait-menu integration. Gear and bag viewing were player-confirmed in 0.3.2. The new Sappers Squad 0.4.0 adds a character-style equipment window, companion model and icon-based bags. Right-click to equip or take off companion items; Give and Retrieve use normal trade for review. This visual update and equipment transfers still need player testing. Sappers Squad 0.4.1 also adds Release and Revive buttons for a selected dead companion: release their spirit, request spirit-healer recovery, then use Follow. Revival-button gameplay testing is pending. Owners can now rename a dismissed saved companion with .squad rename tank|healer|mage|scout NAME, then recall them. Choose an available character-style name; gear and progression stay with the same companion. Rename gameplay testing is pending. Nearby companions can now join newly accepted ordinary quests; use .squad quests after recall to catch up eligible active quests. Quest gameplay testing is pending. Owner-level companion catch-up is installed for testing: lower-level earned companions catch up nearby and out of combat after recall. Housing Steward Branna is now in the eight capital cities and at the housing destination; starter-town copies have been removed. Find companion commands in Discord’s companion-help channel. Close WoW and launch through launcher 1.0.10 with automatic add-on checks enabled to receive the update. The visual inventory opens in its own window; manual gear and bag commands still list items in chat; .squad items remains available for detailed commands. Stand nearby and out of combat. Give upgrades through trade; request tradeable bag items back and review the offered stack before accepting. Class, level, bag space and binding rules still apply. These controls need player testing.
  • Still being tested: later companion creation and recall after relogging, healing, damage, progression and balance. The scout begins with a bow and ammunition; a companion pet is not included yet.

Dungeon Finder AI filling is re-enabled for testing after correcting the helper-save crash. A real native helper creation/save check now passes. Choose your own role; companions should answer their own role check. Dungeon Finder AI testing found reused helpers carrying penalties from failed runs. The helper reuse correction is now installed on the test realm. Player and personal-companion cooldown rules remain unchanged. Installed for testing: temporary dungeon helpers stay after completion while players remain inside, then depart after players exit safely. Now available: .squad dungeon shows which Wailing Caverns Fanglords remain before the Naralex escort. The released-companion recovery fallback is installed for testing: after a delay and once the party is safe, eligible companions can return to the same dungeon entrance. This still needs gameplay testing. Player verified: the full party entered the dungeon after this correction. Combat roles, sustained party retention, completion and later queue reuse still need testing. Guild charters now require one signature; player verification is pending. One player plus four earned companions. Installed previews are not fully gameplay-verified features.

03 / HOMES AND GUILD HALLSKNOWN RENDERING ISSUE

A place for you and your guild.

Free companion auto-training installed: Summoned companions learn eligible class abilities after leveling or summoning, once safely nearby. No trainer visits or gold needed. Crafting auction stock has more room and fewer repeated listings, with new material stacks up to 20. Restocking verified, including Copper Bar, Silk Cloth, Mageroyal and Strange Dust. Low-level materials are eligible for bot buying at acceptable prices; sales are not guaranteed. In-game training acceptance pending.

Companion Auto Gather installed: Tank mining, healer herbalism, scout skinning, and a selectable mage gathering job. Use Auto Gather in the companion menu; starting skills vary from 100 to 300. Close WoW and use launcher Play for the updated menu. Field gathering and material-mail gameplay checks are pending.

Companion loot delivery installed: Regular companions now mail newly looted crafting materials to their owner alongside vendor proceeds. Existing supplies remain protected. Native inventory and saved-mail tests passed; player collection testing is next.

Auction buying enabled: Market bots consider one listing per auction house every 30 minutes, pay up to half estimated value, and avoid bidding against existing player bids. Actual purchases depend on eligible prices; normal auction selling continues.

Automatic Carbonite updates: Launcher 1.0.11 refreshes Carbonite before Play when it is already installed in that profile. The companion quest tracking repair is confirmed working in-game. Let the launcher update, then click Play; no manual addon selection is needed.

Dungeon buttons available: Command replies and boss lists now display correctly through the addon reply channel; client confirmation pending. Start, pause, stop, boss routing, pull mode and status from a Dungeon panel. Close WoW and click launcher Play to update automatically. Temporary dungeon helpers now mail eligible earned crafting materials with sale proceeds instead of selling those materials. Installed after private native tests; in-game acceptance pending.

Dungeon Finder repair installed: Reused temporary helpers now return to an outdoor staging point before preparing for a new queue. Isolated checks passed; in-game retry pending. Roaming-player-bot priority with helper fill-ins remains a requested follow-up and is not enabled.

Housing update installed: Close WoW and run launcher Update / Repair for the House button, 24 personal-home furnishing slots, mailbox and vault choices, and placement across the house. Bring your actual companions home and toggle wandering. Client gameplay acceptance is pending.

Lost Home Hearthstone: Housing stewards now offer a replacement if you own a home and the stone is absent from your bags and bank. Leave a bag slot free. Decorative companion residents are now available while their owner visits home; companions away on missions remain absent until rewards are collected.

More useful homes: Home Hearthstone, player-positioned vendors and workshops, personal banker, guild vault and mailbox are installed. /house now offers Choose, Place here and Get hearthstone. One steward serves the village. Rested XP builds at twice the inn rate in the defined house interiors, with the normal cap. Close WoW and Update / Repair. Server checks passed; in-game testing is pending.

House recall and adventure return: Open /house to recall home and return to where you left. Each character keeps their own saved return location across logout. Return to town remains available. Close WoW and Update / Repair for the new button. Server checks passed; in-game travel confirmation is pending.

Companion stories — live test preview: 48 personal quests, companion equipment and story rewards are installed. Close WoW and use Update / Repair for Carbonite quest directions. Encounter gameplay and reward collection still need player testing. The suspected leftover housing marker has been hidden; vendor and crafting hook positions passed floor checks. In-game visual confirmation is pending.

Companion dungeon entry: a bounded automatic retry is installed for living companions left outside managed Dungeon Finder runs. It uses normal entrance checks and waits for a safe party. Build and isolated startup checks passed; fresh in-game queue acceptance remains pending. The reported stale offline party has been cleared so companions can be summoned again.

Housing scenery is available through the launcher. Close WoW and use Update / Repair on Standard or HD for working village houses, lush ground cover, dirt paths and 20 trees. The scenery has player approval. Homes are limited to one per account; characters on that account share entry, guest settings and vendor/workshop hook controls. Banker, guild-vault and mailbox hooks remain in development. Checker-cube cleanup, neighbouring terrain and server pathfinding work remain unfinished.

Ten free personal homes are available, one per account. Visit a Housing Steward in your faction capital to browse and claim a home. Set private or public door access, invite guests, recall home and return to town.

Close WoW and run launcher Update / Repair, including the Sappers Squad addon. Open your house window with /house or Alt+H if that key was unused. Inside your home, choose two vendors and two workshop attachments: general goods, reagents, repairs, a forge, an anvil or a cooking fire.

The Guild Hall section lets your guild leader claim a free hall. All guild members can visit; the leader can change its vendor and workshop attachments while inside. Ten separate guild spaces are available. Native permission and persistence checks passed; in-game travel, appearance and companion-following feedback is still needed.

Transmog is available with .transmog portable. Auction House Bot Plus adds a limited supply of crafting materials alongside roaming-bot auctions. Dungeon Clear is available with .dc on; our existing dungeon helper system still handles group filling.

Local AI party/guild bot replies and the Azeroth Guide are installed. Ask the Guide with .ag followed by your question. It checks our server data, but can still make mistakes. CPU-powered lookups may take around a minute; replies are limited to keep server load manageable.

Guilded players and bots add bonus guild gold equal to 10% of looted money and 3% of quest cash. Their own gold is unchanged. Current Wrath progression is preserved.

Housing is not finished. Standard and HD comparison is complete: both fail. Next, isolate model loading and correct the shared rendering problem. After that, verify travel, doors, guest permissions, vendor/workshop placement, relogging and companion following in game. Housing upgrades and additional decoration features remain future work.

04 / THE ADVENTUREPLANNED

Vanilla to the Frozen Throne.

Give squads a purposeful journey through Vanilla, The Burning Crusade and Wrath.

  • Custom quest chains and a mission board while keeping current Wrath progression.
  • Elite hunts, escorts, artifact recovery and objective missions.
  • Normal, Veteran and Nightmare content; six-person raid tuning and new boss mechanics.
  • Custom loot, currencies, crafting rewards and achievements.

The two introductory field missions are installed for testing. Procedural missions remain planned. Expansion progression gates are not part of the approved plan.

05 / THE REALM WARPLANNED

A world that pushes back.

On hold until max level: frontier capture objectives. Early siege development is saved but not installed. We are prioritizing companion reliability and community features while players level.

Persistent Alliance and Horde frontiers, with the Scourge as a third NPC threat to both sides.

  • Longer-term plan: the full realm-war system. Two solo faction rival NPCs are installed for testing, with PvP opt-in for players level 10-18. These are scripted creatures, not player bots.
  • Next: Grash basic PvP combat is player-confirmed. Test companion combat and leash behavior next, then develop actual player-bot opponents and protected rewards.
  • Then one capturable objective, guards, a keep lord, saved ownership and an NPC counterattack.
  • Expand into keeps, towers, territory and low-population faction battles.
  • Realm Points → Realm Ranks → Realm Abilities, with titles, banners and housing trophies.
  • Invasions, roaming bosses, bounties, town attacks and treasure convoys.

Capture rules, restart recovery and reward abuse checks come before a wider frontier.

06 / THE HIDEOUT AROUND ITPLANNED EXPANSION

Bring it all together.

Ready for player testing: /sappers brings companions, missions, items, selling, saddlebags and housing together. In development: adventure suggestions now exclude event-only and pooled quest givers and check nearby starts first; database tests pass, but the board is not live. Manual recovery now coordinates with maintenance operations and passed additional lock tests; automatic recovery remains disabled. Guild projects, crafting orders, companion loyalty, PvE events and weekly dungeon challenges remain approved work. Housing collections follow housing acceptance.

Grow the existing website and launcher into a useful home for the community.

  • Available: launcher 1.0.10, signed launcher/game updates, faster cached Play verification, optional add-on installation and removal (including ElvUI 6.09) and separate standard/HD client downloads with up to four concurrent transfers.
  • Available for testing: automatic ReShade and graphics-preset setup from Graphics > Install / Apply. Setup and recovery verified; gameplay and FPS verification pending.
  • To verify: installation and updating on a fresh gaming PC; ElvUI gameplay compatibility.
  • Character profiles, housing pages, a realm-war map and leaderboards.
  • An admin dashboard for events, players and server operations.
  • Expand the installed crafting-material auction market and existing Discord support.

Website accounts and signed client downloads are available. Expanded dashboards remain planned.

07 / DAOC-INSPIRED BUILDSGM PREVIEW

Choose your fighting style.

Bard, Enchanter, Reaver and Valkyrie build on existing WoW classes. Reaver replaces the redundant custom Paladin build; WoW Paladins remain unchanged.

  • Installed: GM-only build selection, saved choices and twelve spell commands with level-based native ranks.
  • Next: fuller support, control, protection and melee/healing kits, plus easier in-game selection.
  • Testing: try builds as characters are created; development continues alongside feedback.

These are early combat previews, not complete classes or new character-creation buttons.

Further ideas and client experiments

Later possibilities include repurposed races and NPC models, optional hardcore characters, seasons that preserve characters, and expanded achievement systems. Voice and AI NPC experiments would keep game rules and rewards under server control.

A newer-client path through HermesProxy, optional HD improvements and experimental DLSS work remain separate research. They will not be required for the initial server; clean 3.3.5a remains our reference client.

Progress is recorded as systems are built and tested. Follow development and share feedback in our Discord ↗.

PLAYER TESTING

Your next test session.

These features are installed on TEST. Full dungeon arrival was reported; the remaining checks below still need in-game acceptance.

  1. Complete a dungeon: check tank engagement, healing, damage, party retention and the normal completion reward.
  2. Check death recovery: try a surviving resurrection caster first. Otherwise release only dead companions, keep the human owner alive inside and the party out of combat, and allow roughly one minute for eligible ghosts to return to the same instance entrance. Meet them along the cleared route; after a full wipe, the human returns first.
  3. Check progress and cleanup: use .squad dungeon inside Wailing Caverns for the four Fanglords. After completion, helpers should stay while players remain inside and leave after everyone exits safely. Owner logout or party changes still cancel the run.
  4. Try a capital housing round trip: begin a new free tour from Ironforge, Stormwind or another faction capital. Check that the island return menu remembers that city, including after relogging. Check current owner and door permissions with an ordinary visitor.
  5. Try companion item controls: with addon 0.4.3, inspect gear and bags, equip and trade a low-value item, repair beside a vendor using companion gold, and check Looting Off/On and Passive then Attack. Discard only an unwanted item after deliberate confirmation.

Report the action, result, approximate time and any error. These are unverified gameplay checks, not promised passes. Housing tours remain free previews; no neighborhood plots are for sale.

BEFORE YOU SET OUT

Good to know.

Early days. Big plans.
Built one tested step at a time.

Can I join the server now?

You can create a Sappers Hideout game account on this website now. The realm is still in testing. Internet connection setup is in place, but external-player login has not yet been verified. Join Discord to follow progress and ask about testing.

Which version of WoW is this?

Our reference client is Wrath of the Lich King 3.3.5a, build 12340, running against an AzerothCore foundation. Vanilla, TBC and Wrath content form the journey; progressive unlocks are a future milestone.

Can I play with companions?

Yes. Story recruitment for a tank, healer, mage and scout is installed at levels 10, 20, 30 and 40. Complete and turn in each chapter in order. Saved recruitment and recall are available for testing; later chapters, combat and relog behavior still need player acceptance. Groups remain one player plus four companions. See the first-session testing guide.

Are housing and realm war playable?

A free housing preview is installed: visit Housing Steward Branna in your faction capital, Kharanos or Razor Hill to tour the GM Island reference home. It is assigned to Sapper for door and guest-permission testing, not for sale. Ten free neighborhood homes are now ready for installation and player testing; they are not live yet. Decorations, home storage and guild halls remain later work. Realm war is not live; the solo rival NPC previews are separate combat tests. Start with the testing guide.

Do I need graphics mods?

No. The clean 3.3.5a client is our reference. Optional HD and graphics experiments are separate client-side work and are not required for the server.
