SAPPERS HIDEOUT WOW — LAUNCHER 1.0.10 NEW PLAYERS 1. Download and run SappersWoW-Setup-1.0.10.exe. 2. Open the launcher and choose a separate client destination in Settings. 3. Select INSTALL CLIENT. The launcher configures the realm automatically. EXISTING LAUNCHER USERS Setup preserves your settings. If your patch URL/key are blank: - In Settings enter the patch base URL above. - Download https://sappershideout.com/wow/downloads/sappers-release.public.xml - Use Load key in Settings to select that file. - Set realm/world hosts and ports as above; save, then Install client or Update/Repair. For LAN-only use, hosts may remain 192.168.4.33 with the same ports. CONTENT Client build 12340, English, with the supplied custom MPQ patches. No personal WTF settings, cache, logs, accounts, installers or DLSS/ReShade injection files. Graphics experiments remain separate. Do not overwrite your only working client. A graphics update added to the source later requires a new signed release. Requires Windows .NET Framework 4.8. Installer is not Authenticode-signed. Patch manifests are RSA-signed; every downloaded object is checked with SHA-256. Downloads resume and updates retain rollback backups. Updater tests passed; client gameplay for this exact downloaded release remains a player acceptance step. LAUNCHER1.0.10 Setup creates a Sappers Hideout WoW desktop shortcut and a Start Menu shortcut, using our Sappers logo. Run the new installer to create the desktop shortcut. ADD-ONS Click Add-ons, check the packages you want, and select Install / update selected. Required dependencies are selected automatically. Unchecked installed add-ons are not deleted. Enable/disable them through AddOns at character selection. Close WoW before installing add-ons. 247 packages declare Wrath compatibility; individual packages still require in-game testing. BLACK-SCREEN RECOVERY Close WoW. In launcher Settings choose Display at launch: Safe windowed, Save, then Play. This uses1280x720 with desktop refresh selection and MSAA disabled. Once stable, try Windowed fullscreen from the launcher rather than toggling exclusive fullscreen in game. Keep current leaves your display settings alone. Original WTF/Config.wtf is backed up under the client's .sappers/display-backups. This recovery configuration is tested; the black-screen symptom still needs confirmation on the affected gaming PC. The supplied HD assets are available through the separate HD profile. STANDARD / HD PROFILES (launcher 1.0.10) Use the selector below the crest to choose Standard or HD, then Install client. HD downloads 23.76 GiB into a separate Client-HD folder by default. Allow50 GiB free. This provides the active HD assets from the supplied package. Third-party Patchmenu, disabled optional patches, imported settings and injected graphics DLLs are not included. Use Add-ons to install optional add-ons into the selected profile. HD gameplay testing remains pending. AUTOMATIC UPDATES Automatic game and launcher updates default to enabled; controls are in Settings. Installed profiles check at startup and every5 minutes while the launcher is open. Periodic updates pause while Wow.exe is running. First-time downloads require Install client. A newer signed launcher downloads, installs and reopens using your saved profile. For versions1.0.1–1.0.3, use Install launcher update or this website installer once. Updates reach players after the server owner publishes a new signed release. DOWNLOAD IMPROVEMENTS (1.0.10) Up to four distinct client files download concurrently. Partial transfers resume; all files must pass SHA-256 verification before installation. Actual speed depends on the player connection and the download server upload capacity. FASTER PLAY First verification builds a cache. Later Play checks reuse verified file metadata, rehashing files when size, modification/creation time or expected hash changes. New manifests force verification. Update/Repair always does a full scan. Use Repair for suspected corruption: metadata checks cannot detect byte changes that preserve file metadata. No personal settings are replaced by this cache. REMOVE ADD-ONS (1.0.10) Close WoW, open Add-ons, check an installed add-on and click Remove selected installed add-ons. Review the confirmation: installed addons that require your selection are included. Removed folders are moved to the selected client folder under .sappers/removed-addons/. WTF saved settings are kept. Unchecked addons stay installed. To restore a catalog addon, select it and Install; manual restoration from the backup is also possible while WoW is closed. SAPPERS SQUAD CONTROLS Launcher1.0.10 installs and updates Sappers Squad automatically before Play and during enabled automatic checks, with WoW closed. No manual addon reinstall needed. Other addons and WTF settings are preserved. Removing SappersSquad files will cause reinstall on Play; to hide controls use /ssquad or disable the addon in character selection. Older launchers with automatic launcher updates disabled need Install launcher update or this installer once. AUTOMATIC GRAPHICS - LAUNCHER 1.0.10 1. Close WoW and let the launcher update to 1.0.10. 2. Choose your Standard or HD client profile and open Graphics. 3. Choose Classic Enhanced, HD Balanced or HD Quality. Click Install / Apply. 4. Wait for Ready, close the Graphics window and press Play. The launcher downloads official ReShade 6.8.0 and the five required shader/ include files directly from their upstream sources. It checks pinned SHA-256 hashes, installs the normal 32-bit DirectX 9 runtime, enables that exact DLL and selects your preset. No website download or in-game preset selection is needed. Windows may still show a security/permission prompt. For a 5090 at 1440p: select the HD client, then try HD Quality. For other PCs: start with Classic Enhanced or HD Balanced. All presets work at either 1080p or 1440p; keep your native resolution. HD presets do not install HD models; the launcher HD profile supplies those. To compare: close WoW, choose Off in Graphics and click Install / Apply. Off disables preset effects and leaves ReShade installed. Home still opens the ReShade overlay for optional in-game adjustments. Each client folder keeps its own choice. Existing ReShade configuration and modified presets are backed up under .sappers/graphics-backups and the preset folder. Unrelated graphics DLLs are not replaced. If interrupted, return to Graphics and retry Install / Apply to restore the prior files before retrying. Keep the .sappers recovery folder intact. A different ReShade runtime or another graphics wrapper needs separate compatibility review. Verified: actual automatic installation on an isolated WoW executable copy, shader hashes, preset selection, Off, repeat setup and failure recovery. In-game shader rendering, quality and FPS still await player testing. No server restart, client MPQ changes, DLSS, DXVK or Reforged installation.
