TERMS OF SERVICE
Sapper’s Hideout UI and TEC1 Overwatch Bot
Effective Date: July 23, 2026 Last Updated: July 23, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you (“you” or “User”) and David Claman, an individual operating the Sapper’s Hideout UI and TEC1 Overwatch Bot (“Operator,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
These Terms govern your access to and use of:
- The Sapper’s Hideout user interface, desktop application, overlay, launcher, website features, and related software;
- The TEC1 Overwatch Discord bot;
- Related Discord integrations, game-server integrations, commands, APIs, databases, websites, automated systems, and support services; and
- Any future features offered under the Sapper’s Hideout or TEC1 Overwatch names.
Together, these are called the “Services.”
By installing, accessing, authorizing, connecting to, or using any part of the Services, clicking an acceptance button, or using a Discord server on which the Services are active, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not install, authorize, access, or use the Services.
1. Eligibility
You may use the Services only when:
- You are legally capable of entering into these Terms;
- You meet Discord’s minimum age requirements and any minimum age required in your location;
- You have permission to access the applicable Discord server, SCUM server, computer, game account, or connected service; and
- Your use complies with all applicable laws and third-party platform rules.
If you are under the legal age of majority where you live, your parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms on your behalf.
The Services are not directed toward children under 13. Do not use the Services or submit personal information through them if you are under 13.
2. Description of the Services
The Services may provide features such as:
- Discord account verification;
- Discord role assignment and removal;
- Linking a Discord account to a Steam account, SteamID, SCUM player identity, or other game-server record;
- Fame-point, currency, rank, access-level, player-statistic, or eligibility checks;
- Black Market or restricted-area access management;
- Server status and player-count displays;
- Leaderboards, notifications, announcements, and activity reports;
- Administrative and moderation commands;
- Voice-channel connection or management features;
- Game-server commands and automated server actions;
- Mod, launcher, overlay, and user-interface features;
- Community support and account troubleshooting; and
- Other functions added or modified by the Operator.
Features may differ between users, servers, roles, versions, and operating systems. We may add, remove, suspend, or modify features at any time.
3. Discord and Game-Account Linking
Certain features may require you to connect or verify your Discord account and associate it with a SteamID, SCUM player record, or another supported account.
By initiating or completing an account link, you authorize the Services to:
- Receive and process identifiers and information made available by Discord, Steam, Whalleybot, the Sapper’s Hideout server, or another connected service;
- Compare those identifiers with game-server or community records;
- Store the association between your accounts;
- Use linked information to determine your roles, permissions, ranks, rewards, access, or eligibility; and
- Update or remove Discord roles or other benefits when the connected data changes.
You represent that every account you connect belongs to you or that you have permission from the account owner to connect it.
You may not link another person’s account, impersonate another player, provide false identifiers, evade a restriction, or attempt to obtain another User’s permissions.
4. Automated Decisions and Actions
The Services may take automated actions based on information received from Discord, Steam, SCUM servers, Whalleybot, server logs, databases, APIs, or configuration files.
Automated actions may include:
- Assigning or removing Discord roles;
- Granting or restricting channel access;
- Determining access to community features;
- Displaying ranks, fame, statistics, or leaderboards;
- Sending commands, notifications, or announcements;
- Updating player-related records;
- Applying community or game-server eligibility rules; and
- Temporarily restricting access when information cannot be verified.
You understand that automated systems can be affected by delays, outdated information, incorrect account links, unavailable APIs, configuration errors, software defects, or incomplete records.
Automated results are not guaranteed to be accurate or immediate. The Operator may investigate, correct, reverse, or decline to reverse an automated action at the Operator’s reasonable discretion.
Attempts to manipulate fame, coins, statistics, roles, eligibility checks, account links, logs, or automated decisions are prohibited.
5. Administrative and Moderation Features
Some Users may receive permission to use administrative, moderator, or server-management functions.
Administrative access is a privilege, not a permanent right. Authorized Users must:
- Use commands only for legitimate community or server-management purposes;
- Follow the Operator’s instructions and permission limits;
- Verify targets and command details before submitting actions;
- Protect credentials, bot tokens, access codes, and administrative interfaces;
- Avoid disclosing private player information;
- Keep accurate records when reasonably requested; and
- Immediately report suspected unauthorized access or misuse.
Administrative commands may affect Discord roles, player records, game currency, fame points, inventory, access permissions, server configuration, or other Users.
The Operator may suspend or remove administrative privileges at any time.
6. Voice Features
The Services may connect to, disconnect from, or otherwise interact with Discord voice channels when authorized and technically necessary for an enabled feature.
These Terms do not authorize Users to secretly record, intercept, monitor, or transcribe another person’s voice communications.
The Services are not intended to record or transcribe voice communications unless a separate, clearly displayed notice describes the feature and any legally required consent is obtained.
You may not use the Services to violate wiretapping, recording-consent, surveillance, privacy, or communications laws.
7. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining control of your Discord, Steam, SCUM, and computer accounts;
- Protecting passwords, authentication credentials, and devices;
- Keeping connected account information accurate;
- Reviewing commands before submitting them;
- Maintaining compatible software and internet access;
- Installing updates when required;
- Following community and server rules;
- Backing up files or configurations that are important to you; and
- Reporting suspected bugs, security issues, or unauthorized access.
You are responsible for actions performed through your accounts unless those actions resulted directly from a security failure controlled solely by the Operator.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Services to:
- Violate any law, regulation, court order, or legally binding requirement;
- Violate Discord’s Terms, Developer rules, Community Guidelines, or other applicable platform rules;
- Violate the rules of Steam, SCUM, Whalleybot, a connected game server, or another third-party service;
- Harass, threaten, stalk, abuse, defraud, exploit, or impersonate another person;
- Post or transmit illegal, malicious, deceptive, hateful, or sexually exploitative content;
- Distribute malware, ransomware, spyware, destructive code, or unauthorized surveillance tools;
- Obtain unauthorized access to an account, server, channel, database, API, computer, or network;
- Circumvent bans, permission checks, access controls, rate limits, security mechanisms, or account-linking requirements;
- Manipulate player statistics, fame, coins, ranks, leaderboards, roles, rewards, or server records;
- Submit false reports or intentionally misleading information;
- Scrape, harvest, sell, publish, or misuse User information;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or bypass protections in the Services, except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- Copy, resell, sublicense, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Services without written permission;
- Overload, disrupt, attack, probe, or interfere with the Services or connected systems;
- Use automated requests, scripts, or bots not approved by the Operator;
- Obtain or expose bot tokens, API credentials, secrets, source code, or private configuration information;
- Use the Services to cheat, exploit game systems, or violate applicable server rules; or
- Help another person perform any prohibited activity.
The Operator may investigate suspected misuse and preserve relevant records when reasonably necessary to protect the Services, Users, or connected communities.
9. Community Rules and Enforcement
Use of the Services may also be governed by Sapper’s Hideout server rules, Discord channel rules, moderator instructions, event rules, and posted feature-specific policies.
Violations may result in:
- A warning;
- Removal of roles or permissions;
- Loss of access to specific features;
- Disconnection of linked accounts;
- Removal from leaderboards or events;
- Suspension from the Services;
- Removal or ban from a connected Discord or game server; or
- Referral to Discord, a platform provider, hosting provider, or appropriate authority when reasonably necessary.
Enforcement decisions may consider the seriousness, frequency, intent, technical evidence, community impact, and prior conduct involved.
10. Information We May Process
Depending on the features you use, the Services may process the following categories of information:
A. Discord information
- Discord User ID;
- Username, display name, and avatar;
- Discord server or guild ID;

D. Information you submit
- Commands;
- Support requests;
- Reports;
- Feedback;
- Configuration choices;
- Messages sent directly to the Services; and
- Other information you voluntarily provide.
You should not submit sensitive personal information unless it is specifically requested and necessary for support or account verification.
11. How Information May Be Used
Information may be used to:
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and secure the Services;
- Verify and link accounts;
- Assign roles, ranks, access, rewards, or permissions;
- Perform requested commands;
- Display server information and leaderboards;
- Detect abuse, fraud, cheating, or unauthorized access;

- Improve features and reliability;
- Communicate service notices and support responses;
- Comply with legal obligations; and
- Protect the rights and safety of the Operator, Users, and connected communities.
The Operator will not sell personal information for monetary compensation.
Information will not be used for materially unrelated purposes without an appropriate notice when required by law.
12. Information Sharing
Information may be shared only when reasonably necessary with:
- Discord;
- Steam or Valve services;
- SCUM-related services and game-server systems;
- Whalleybot or another authorized account-linking provider;
- Hosting, database, security, logging, or infrastructure providers;
- Moderators or administrators who need the information for authorized duties;
- Professional advisers assisting with legal, security, or technical matters;
- A successor responsible for operating the Services; or
- Government authorities or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud, security threats, abuse, or threats of harm.
Public-facing features may display your Discord name, player name, rank, role, fame, statistics, achievements, or leaderboard position to other community members.
Do not use the Services if you do not want information associated with your community or game identity displayed through an enabled public feature.
13. Data Retention and Deletion Requests
Information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- Provide the Services;
- Maintain account links;
- Enforce community rules;
- Protect system security;
- Resolve disputes;
- Maintain legitimate operational records; or
- Comply with legal requirements.
Information that is no longer reasonably needed may be deleted, anonymized, or overwritten through normal system operations.
You may request account unlinking, correction, or deletion of eligible information by contacting the Operator using the contact information at the end of these Terms.
A deletion request may not apply to:
- Information required for security or fraud prevention;
- Records necessary to document moderation or enforcement;
- Information subject to a legal retention obligation;
- Aggregated or anonymized information;
- Information stored by an independent third-party service; or
- Technical backup copies that will be deleted through normal retention cycles.
Disconnecting the bot or leaving the Discord server does not necessarily delete historical operational or security records.
14. Data Security
The Operator may use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information.
However, no software, network, database, transmission method, or storage system is completely secure. The Operator cannot guarantee that information will never be lost, accessed, altered, or disclosed without authorization.
You must promptly report suspected unauthorized access, exposed credentials, account compromise, or security vulnerabilities.
Do not publicly disclose a security vulnerability before giving the Operator a reasonable opportunity to investigate and address it.
15. Software License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, the Operator grants you a limited, personal, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable, and nonsublicensable license to install and use authorized versions of the UI or related software solely for their intended community and game-server purposes.
This license does not transfer ownership of the Services or any source code, branding, artwork, databases, configurations, or other intellectual property.
The license automatically ends when:
- You violate these Terms;
- Your access is suspended or terminated;
- The applicable software or feature is discontinued; or
- The Operator revokes the license.
Upon termination, you must stop using and, when directed, uninstall or delete affected software.
16. Intellectual Property
The Services, including their code, interfaces, designs, graphics, text, branding, documentation, configurations, databases, and original content, are owned by or licensed to the Operator and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
“Sapper’s Hideout,” “Sapper17,” “TEC1 Overwatch,” associated logos, and related original branding may not be used in a way that falsely suggests ownership, sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation.
Discord, Steam, Valve, SCUM, Gamepires, and other third-party names, marks, software, and content remain the property of their respective owners.
No affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement by a third-party platform or game publisher is implied unless expressly stated in writing.
17. User Content and Feedback
You retain ownership of content you lawfully submit.
You grant the Operator a limited, worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, reproduce, display, and transmit submitted content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, moderate, and improve the Services.
You represent that you have the right to submit the content and that its use will not violate another person’s rights.
Feedback, ideas, bug reports, and feature suggestions may be used without payment or obligation, but the Operator is not required to implement them.
18. Third-Party Services
The Services depend on independent platforms and providers, which may include Discord, Steam, SCUM, Whalleybot, web hosts, APIs, databases, and internet-service providers.
Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
The Operator does not control and is not responsible for:
- Third-party outages or service changes;
- API limitations;
- Platform bans or account actions;
- Changes to third-party terms;
- Lost or delayed data;
- Third-party security incidents;
- Game updates or compatibility changes; or
- Removal of permissions or platform access.
A third-party change may cause a feature to stop working temporarily or permanently.
19. Updates and Availability
The Services may be updated automatically or may require you to install a new version.
The Operator does not promise that:
- Every feature will always be available;
- The Services will operate without interruption;
- Every operating system or game version will remain supported;
- Data will always be current or accurate;
- Bugs will be corrected immediately; or
- A discontinued feature will be restored.
Maintenance, security issues, platform restrictions, game updates, hosting failures, or other circumstances may interrupt the Services.
20. No Guarantee of Game or Community Benefits
Roles, fame levels, coins, rewards, Black Market access, rankings, permissions, or other benefits made available through the Services:
- Have no cash value unless expressly stated otherwise;
- Are not personal property;
- Are not transferable unless expressly permitted;
- May be corrected, reset, revoked, or discontinued;
- Do not guarantee continued Discord or game-server access; and
- May be affected by server wipes, configuration changes, errors, moderation, or third-party data.
The Operator may correct duplicated, mistaken, exploited, or unauthorized benefits.
21. Suspension and Termination
The Operator may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access when reasonably believed necessary because of:
- A violation of these Terms;
- A violation of community or platform rules;
- Fraud, cheating, exploitation, or manipulation;
- Security concerns;
- Harassment or harmful conduct;
- Unauthorized administrative activity;
- Legal or platform requirements;
- Discontinuation of the Services; or
- Conduct that creates unreasonable risk for the Operator, Users, or connected systems.
You may stop using the Services at any time.
Sections concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, disputes, enforcement records, and other provisions that logically should survive will remain effective after termination.
22. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”
THE OPERATOR DISCLAIMS ALL EXPRESS, IMPLIED, AND STATUTORY WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, AVAILABILITY, SECURITY, AND COMPATIBILITY.
THE OPERATOR DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, ACCURATE, COMPATIBLE WITH EVERY SYSTEM, OR FREE FROM HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
YOU USE THE SERVICES AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot legally be excluded.
23. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OPERATOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING:
- Lost data;
- Lost profits or revenue;
- Loss of access;
- Lost game items, coins, fame, roles, rankings, or progress;
- Computer or software damage;
- Service interruption;
- Account suspension;
- Third-party conduct; or
- Reputational harm.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OPERATOR’S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF:
- The amount you paid directly to the Operator for the Services during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or
- One hundred U.S. dollars (US $100).
These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory asserted and even if the Operator was advised that damages were possible.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability exclusions. In those jurisdictions, the limitations apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law.
24. Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Operator from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, penalties, and reasonable expenses arising from:
- Your misuse of the Services;
- Your violation of these Terms;
- Your violation of another person’s rights;
- Content or information you submit;
- Actions performed through your account;
- Your unauthorized administrative commands; or
- Your violation of law or third-party platform rules.
This section does not require you to indemnify the Operator for liability caused solely by the Operator’s intentional misconduct.
25. Changes to These Terms
The Operator may update these Terms to reflect:
- New or changed features;
- Security requirements;
- Platform or API changes;
- Legal or regulatory requirements;
- Changes in operating practices; or
- Clarifications and corrections.
The updated Terms will show a revised “Last Updated” date.
Material changes may also be announced through the UI, website, Discord server, or another reasonable communication method.
Your continued use of the Services after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. When legally required, additional consent may be requested.
26. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming and applicable federal laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Before filing a legal claim, you and the Operator agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days after written notice is received.
Unless applicable law requires otherwise, legal proceedings arising from these Terms or the Services must be brought in:
- A state court of competent jurisdiction located in Carbon County, Wyoming; or
- The United States District Court for the District of Wyoming.
You consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of those courts.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking emergency injunctive relief to address unauthorized access, security threats, or intellectual-property misuse.
27. Electronic Communications
You agree that notices, disclosures, and agreements may be provided electronically through:
- The UI;
- The Sapper’s Hideout website;
- Discord messages or announcements;
- Email;
- Application update notices; or
- Other reasonable electronic methods.
Electronic acceptance of these Terms has the same intended effect as signing a written agreement.
28. General Provisions
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with any incorporated policies or clearly posted feature-specific rules, constitute the entire agreement concerning the Services.
Severability
If a provision is found unenforceable, it will be modified only as much as necessary to make it enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible. The remaining provisions will continue in effect.
No Waiver
Failure to enforce a provision does not waive the right to enforce it later.
Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without written permission. The Operator may transfer these Terms as part of a reorganization, transfer of the Services, or change in ownership.
No Partnership
These Terms do not create an employment, partnership, franchise, agency, fiduciary, or joint-venture relationship.
Force Majeure
The Operator is not responsible for delay or failure caused by circumstances reasonably outside the Operator’s control, including internet failures, cyberattacks, platform outages, hosting failures, natural disasters, government actions, labor disruptions, or third-party service changes.
Headings
Section headings are included for convenience and do not limit the meaning of any provision.
29. Contact Information
Questions, support requests, account-linking issues, privacy requests, and legal notices may be sent to:
